The Global Positioning System is not a new concept at all before the year 1939, proper navigation system was already there - in theory. In 1943, German scientist, Karl Hans Janke, patenterade idea of using two satellites are placed at certain points could send electromagnetic signals, using screen vectors, and determine the direction of an object.
